Tampa Bay (2.0 GA of the Yankees) and Boston (1.0 GA) begin series' with the Philadelphia Phillies and Miami Marlins this weekend, who likely stand to be tougher opponents than the Tigers.Seattle Mariners

The Phillies are 1-3 against the Marlins this season and 4-10 against them since the start of last season. On their previous trip to Miami last September 10-14, the Phillies lost five of seven to the Marlins. That performance put a serious crimp in the Phillies' postseason chances and they ended up missing the playoffs for a ninth straight season.

Melvin, a former big-league catcher has seen his fair share of those who have attempted. He mentioned Rick Ankiel who only was slightly similar. Ankiel began his 11-year MLB career starting out as a pitcher before switching to the outfield.   Minnesota Twins

The Tigers are shaping up to be a decent contrarian stack even with just six games on the docket. Gamers have been trained over the last few seasons to discount their offense, as they tend to bring out the best in opposing pitchers. Today they have a matchup with rookie Sam Hentges, who replaced Logan Allen in the Cleveland rotation. Hentges is stretched out enough to see 80-ish pitches, but the results so far have been mixed at best. While he does have an above-average fastball, his secondary pitches leave a lot to be desired. In 15.1 innings of action across two starts and four relief outings, he has allowed five home runs on his way to a 6.46 ERA and a 2.09 WHIP. The 15 strikeouts do show his promise, but the nine walks are direct evidence that he is still honing his craft.
